2B Finish ASTM 420J1 / 420J2
420J1 has certain wear resistance and corrosion resistance, high
hardness, its price is a lower class of stainless steel, suitable
for stainless steel common requirements in the working environment.
After heat treatment (quenching and tempering), SUS420J2 has
excellent corrosion resistance, polishing performance, high
strength and wear resistance, suitable for manufacturing plastic
mold bearing high load, high wear resistance and under the action
of corrosive media.
The hardness of 420 series steel after heat treatment is about
HRC52~55, but the performance of various aspects such as damage
resistance is not too outstanding. Because it is easy to cut and
grind, it is suitable for the production of cutting tools.
420 stainless steel is also known as "tool grade" martensitic
steel.
420 series steel is ideal for submersible cutting tools due to its
low carbon content (0.16~0.25) and excellent rust resistance.
430 stainless steel is a universal steel with good corrosion
resistance, better thermal conductivity than austenite, smaller
thermal expansion coefficient than austenite, heat resistance
fatigue, adding stabilized element titanium, good mechanical
properties at the weld.
